Administrative HistoryThe domestic chapel at Hooton Hall (see ERC 4) was closed in 1849. The parish of Hooton was established in 1865; the original dedication was to St Mary of the Immaculate Conception. A new church dedicated to St Mary of the Angels was opened in 1879
